Pat, 24.0 is your handicap index listed in golf stats. The handicap of 26.12 listed in the Pairing List is the calculation based on your index, course Slope, and tee selection. You selected the back tees and the course Slope is 123 (rather high). So your calculated handicap will be higher than your handicap index. Back Tee Handicap = (Index * Slope)/ 113. (24*123)/113 = 26.12 The USGA considers a Slope of 113 as the normal or average Slope. The difficulty of a course can be determined by the Slope being above or below the norm of 113. If we play a course with a Slope of 113, your calculated handicap would then be 24.0.
The Special Events committee set a condition that we would calculate the Flights for the tournaments by putting an equal number of players in each flight in an effort to make it more equal for everybody. We calculate the Flights by using the handicap index like OurGolfStats does each week. In doing this, the range for the D Flight was 22.91 and higher. With your handicap index of 24.0, this puts you in the D Flight for this event.
I hope this answers your question. If not, you can call me at 817-565-0311. Thanks, Joe

This is the final Special Event for the 2017 Season. It is and has been listed in the Special Events signup since January. Plus several notices have been issued on this website about the event. To be able to play, you must register and pay as a Special Event.
You would have had to register already to be included in the final Pairings List just issued. Also the Parings List does in the title line include the reference to Annbriar GC and the date September 25.
Joe: i would love to take the 31 plus strokes but in all fairness my handy cap is about 19 something. I thought you might want to correct it now so that there’s not a big hassle at the Tourn.
Thanks Rich Witte 4761
Hi Joe, I read the pairings list. In the golf stats I currently am in the C Flight with a handicap of 24. Pat Smith Division 2 Member 2550.
