2019 Find Your Swing Pairing List Rev A

Rev A of the Find Your Swing Pairing List has been posted to the Metro Seniors web site. Rev A includes the individual handicaps, team handicap, and team flight. You can find the Pairing List by clicking on the 2019 Special Events Confirmation – Wait List – Pairing List – Instructions – Results link on the Home Page. And then click on the Find Your Swing link. Or, click here.

A couple of Notes:

  • Please read the Special Events Handicap Calculation sheet on the Metro Seniors web site – look in the top tool bar Schedules and Results and look at the drop down menu for Special Events, or click here
  • Look over the Pairing List and make sure the Tee color for you is correct
  • Team 8 will have a change in Team Handicap once the 4th player plays this Thursday
  • This may have an impact to the Team Flights once the new Team Handicap is calculated

Find Your Swing at Fox Creek GC, Edwardsville, IL

The first Special Event of 2019 will be held at Fox Creek GC, 6555 Fox Creek Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62025. Phone 618-692-9400. Web page – www.golffoxcreek.com. This will be the first time we have played at this course. It is not the easiest course to get to. You will want to put it in your GPS.

To give you an idea of where it is, here are the directions from the Course Directions – 2019 page from the Metro Seniors web site. Take I-270N across bridge and take exit #7 onto I-255N towards Alton, IL. At exit #3 turn right onto New Poag Rd towards SIUE Campus. Turn left onto IL-159. Turn right on Fox Creek Dr. From I-64/40E and I-70E, get to I-255N and follow directions above. Registration starts at 6:30 am. Shotgun Start at 7:30 am.

Reminder – The Back Tees are combine Silver/Gold tees. We have asked the course to have the combined tees marked with both Silver and Gold tee markers. Just in case, use the course score card to see what holes are combined. The Official Special Event score cards do not show this.

An updated Pairing List will be posted early next week with handicaps and flights after the results have been posted from last weeks tournaments.

2019 Find Your Swing 4-Man Scramble

The Preliminary Pairing List for the 2019 Find Your Swing 4-Man Scramble has been posted to the Metro Seniors web site.

You can find it on the Home Page by clicking on the 2019 Special Events Confirmation – Wait List – Pairing List – Instructions – Results link and clicking on the Find Your Swing link.

This event will be held on Tuesday, 23 April 2019 at the Fox Creek CG. This is a 4-Man Scramble format event.

Handicaps and Flights are not listed on the Preliminary Pairing List. Handicaps will be calculated after the 11 & 12 weekly tournaments. A revised Pairing List will be posted when handicaps and flights have been calculated.

2019 Special Events Update

There are a few updates to the Special Events for 2019:

  • The date for the Founders’ Day event at Whitmoor CC has been changed to                 20 August 2019
  • Bob Roussin will be the Event Leader for the Pick Your Partner 2-Person Scramble at Missouri Bluffs GC on 15 July 2019
  • Frank McLaughlin will be the Event Leader for the Best Ball 4-Person Scramble at Sunset Hills CC on 17 July 2019


2019 Special Events Schedule & Rules Now Available

The 2019 Special Events Schedule & Rules have been posted to the Metro Seniors web site.  (Click Here)

Reservations for Special Events will open on 1 January 2019.  There will be 6 events running from April through September 2019. 

Changes for 2019

  • Five of the events will be team play and one event will be individual play
  • Dropped the First 100 and Super Seniors events
  • Added Find Your Swing (4-person scramble) and 4-Person Best Ball
  • Dropped Indian Mounds GC and added Fox Creek GC
  • Lunch will be provided at all events
  • You will be able to make a different tee selection for each event when you sign up

The Special Events Course Directions has been updated to remove Indian Mounds and add Fox Creek GC.  Click Here

Same Flight Pairings List Rev A

Rev A Pairings List for the Same Flight Special Event has been posted to the Metro Seniors web site.

There have been many cancellations and new players added since the last list was posted.  The majority of the pairings have changed.  Either different teams, flights, or start holes.  Be sure to look at the updated list if you are playing tomorrow.  The course will have updated hole assignments, so check with the course personnel when you get there.

We had to print all new scorecards and cart signs.  These will be delivered to the course by 6:45 am tomorrow.  Give the course some time to get these new items loaded on the carts.
